SESSION 3 - DTU Climatic Wind Tunnel Facility for Bridge Cable Dynamics
Dr. Holger Koss, Associate Professor
SESSION 3 - Technical University of Denmark (DTU)
New Climatic Wind Tunnel Facility (CWT) purposely built to investigate the accretion of ice and snow on circular bridge cable, its effect on aerodynamic loading and the resulting dynamic response of the cable system. Furthermore, rain-wind induced vibration shall be looked at as well. With respect to the list of papers you have sent I would suggest a title such as "DTU (Climatic Wind Tunnel Facility for Bridge Cable Dynamics)".

Dr. Holger Koss, Associate Professor |
Since 1991 Holger Koss worked in different European wind tunnel laboratories in the field of civil engineering aerodynamics. In 2005 started teaching as an external lecturer at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and in 2008 he took a position as Associate Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering. His main research areas are wind load on structures and the related dynamic response. In this connection the simulation of bridge cable icing became a specialised topic. |
